The EIP Teacher is responsible for the education of assigned students and will create a flexible program and class environment favorable for learning and personal growth. The EIP teacher will establish effective rapport with students; motivate students to develop skills, attitudes, and the knowledge needed to provide a good foundation for further education, and do so in accordance with each student's ability. Professional relations will be developed and maintained with other staff and parents.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Provides the names/ number of EIP students to the principals/Assistant Principal by September 1 and/or well in advance of the first FTE count throughout the
- Conducts at least five fifty-minute segments of small group instruction daily to assigned students according to the schools approved model and EIP schedule.
- Provides principal, teachers, and district EIP Coordinator with a detailed EIP schedule.
- Maintains an accurate and up-to-date data notebook to include but not limited to progress monitoring, benchmark results, differentiated lesson plans.
- Analyzes assessment data weekly to target explicit, systematic, small group instruction and to plan for continuous improvement for each student, subgroup of students, and the school as a whole.
- Provides the principal with weekly differentiated lesson.
- Aligns instruction with Georgia Performance Standards and district expectations for learning.
- Plans regularly with regular education teachers to design, monitor, and revise instruction to ensure that students are progressing toward the standards.
- Charts and documents the growth of each EIP student’s data based on the instruction provided using a balanced assessment system (diagnostic, performance, formative, summative, academic prompts, etc.).
- Conveys high expectations for student achievement through instructional goals, activities, interactions, and environment.
- Supervises students and maintains discipline at all.
- Reviews SIS reports prior to each FTE count to ensure proper coding in the student information system for students receiving EIP services.
- Adheres to GaDOE guidelines for serving EIP eligible students.
- Protects the confidentiality of student information.
- Interacts positively with students and parents.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Georgia Educator’s Certificate required
- Bachelor’s Degree Required
- 3+ Years’ teaching experience in K-5
